Reading Notes Option 1
For todays assignment I had the most fun with backlighting. I had never really taken a photo using back lighting before without completely silhouetting my subject. I really wanted to play with back lighting hair. My favorite photo this week was the last one on this post of Bri. In order to not silhouette her I had to meter for the light that was on her face and and not the light behind her. If I were to meter for the light behind her the shutter speed and aperture would have been higher to let less light in. This also would have underexposed Bri's face. Instead, the light behind her is slightly over exposed giving her hair a bright glow.
